This is Ulua Beach, one of 5 beautiful Wailea beaches with "brown sugar" sand. It has great snorkling, especially in the calm mornings. Very child friendly. Afternoons generally bring cooling tradewinds and slightly bigger waves, better for boogie boarding (wave riding). You can take some fantastic beach walks because most of the beaches in Wailea connect to each other. The hotels have also put together a great paved beach walk too, open to the public. (Nice for romantic evening walks too!) All beaches on Maui are public.
